Sunday School -- 9:45 AM   Classes for Kindergarten through high school plus two adult classes.

Sunday Morning Worship -- 11:00 AM   Special services each 5th Sunday of the month.

Wednesday Bible Study Service -- 7:30 PM

Angel Food Ministries

We serve as a host for ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES.  www.angelfoodministries.com  . For information contact  Rita Hanna 304-757-3180, quiltingrammy@suddenlink.net  Checks should be made payable to: McKinnon Presbyterian Church.

Orders must be picked up on delivery date (SUMMER HOURS) between 9:30 and 10:30 AM.

 

Any orders not picked up by that time will be donated to a local food bank.

WOMEN'S MEETINGS

The Morning Circle meets at 9:30 AM on the second Wednesday, check bulletin for location.

The Afternoon Circle meets at 1:00 PM on the first Tuesday, check bulletin for location.

Quilters--a small group of ladies meet at the church each Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM to quilt. They have been quilting on a regular basis since 1986.

FAMILY RETREAT

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - Volunteers donate a days labor to work on the current project plus monetary donation.

FOOD BANK-We provide workers for Monday, Wednesday and Friday for the month of July and we also make monthly donations.

 

Quarterly Newsletter

We have a quarterly newsletter that reflects events and notes of interest in our church family. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to receive a copy please contact Janet Norris at 304-757-8154 or janetnorris@suddenlink.net

 

RECYCLING PROJECTS

Aluminum cans are collected in the back vestibule at the handicap ramp, the money is given to the Food Bank fund.

Pull tabs from cans are collected in the back vestibule and donated to Ronald McDonald House.

Empty ink cartridges are collected in the hallway of the annex.

 

LUNCH BUNCH

Open to all who would like to join us for fellowship for the body, mind and spirit. Held at noon at area restaurants on the third Wednesday each month. Locations announced in church bulletin and newsletter.

 

CRAFT NIGHT

Meet the first Monday of each month from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The current project is scrap booking and making posters to frame and hang.  Open to all who would like to join in.

PAINTING AND CARPET  As part of our preparation for our 50th Reunion Celebration the Sunday School classes and hallway in the basement have been painted. The classrooms and the hallway in the annex have been painted and new carpet installed.

NURSERY  The nursery has been painted, new carpet installed and furnished with new beds and toys.

HANDICAP RAMP   On Palm Sunday, April 8, 2001 we dedicated our new ramp and handicap accessible restroom facilities. With the help of a very generous grant from the Presbytery of West Virginia and generous gifts from many members and friends it is now a reality. Handicap Entrance

PEACE POLE  On World Communion Sunday  in 2002 we dedicated our Peace Pole. It contains the message "May Peace Prevail On Earth" in different languages and reminds us to pray for peace and connects us with people of different faiths around the world. Peace Pole

NEW WINDOWS FOR SANCTUARY AND ANNEX  The windows in the sanctuary and  the annex have been replaced as part of our ongoing renovations.

Lift Chair October, 2007 a lift chair was installed leading to the basement , to aid those who have trouble navigating the steps.
